Gantt Chart View and Timeline Tracking
5.2 Gantt Chart View and Timeline Tracking
ACTIONBRIDGE offers a built-in Gantt Chart View that helps you visualize task schedules, dependencies, and deadlines over time. It’s ideal for planning complex projects, coordinating work across teams, and tracking overall progress at a glance.
Accessing the Gantt Chart
- From the project tab or web app, click the View Switcher and select Gantt.
- The chart will show all tasks that have valid start and end dates.
What You Can See
- Task Bars: Horizontal bars represent each task’s scheduled duration.
- Today Marker: A vertical line highlights the current date for easy orientation.
- Dependencies: Arrows indicate relationships between tasks (if configured).
- Color Coding: Tasks are color-coded by status or priority.
Editing in the Gantt View
- Admins and editors can drag and resize task bars to adjust dates.
- Changes to task dates are logged with timestamp, user, and reason — in line with ACTIONBRIDGE's accountability model.
- Clicking a task bar opens its detail panel for further editing or commenting.
Timeline Settings
- You can zoom in/out (e.g. week, month, quarter view) using the controls at the top.
- Filters are available to display specific assignees, tags, or statuses.
- The Gantt view reflects real-time updates made elsewhere in the project.
Tips
- Use the Gantt view during project kickoffs or sprint planning meetings.
- Combine with dependencies and status filters to identify bottlenecks early.
- Encourage teams to update task dates regularly to keep the timeline accurate.
With interactive Gantt charts and real-time timeline tracking, ACTIONBRIDGE helps you manage projects with confidence — across schedules, teams, and priorities.
