Notifications and Reminders
4.5 Notifications and Reminders
ACTIONBRIDGE helps you stay on top of tasks and team updates through built-in notifications and smart reminders. These alerts are designed to be helpful — not noisy — and are configurable per project.
Notification Types
- In-App Notifications: Appear in the ACTIONBRIDGE web and Teams app interface (notification bell icon).
- Teams Notifications: Delivered via Microsoft Teams bot messages or channel posts (when applicable).
- Email Notifications: (Planned) Optional email alerts for major updates (coming soon).
What Triggers Notifications
- When you are mentioned in a comment
- When a task is assigned to you
- When a task you follow changes status or is updated
- When a comment is posted and your name is ticked
- When a reminder is due for an upcoming deadline
Reminders
- Reminders are automatically triggered for tasks with due dates.
- Default reminder timing is configurable (e.g. 24 hours before due).
- Reminders can appear in-app or be delivered to Teams if enabled.
Managing Notification Settings
- Go to Project Settings → Notifications.
- Choose which types of updates you want to receive.
- Admins can configure global defaults for the entire project.
Tips
- Keep notifications enabled for mentions and assignments — they’re directly relevant.
- Disable noisy updates like status changes if you prefer a quieter experience.
- Use reminders to help teammates avoid missed deadlines, especially for critical tasks.
With customizable notifications and automatic reminders, ACTIONBRIDGE keeps your team informed — just the right amount, at just the right time.
