Using Tabs for Task Management
4.2 Using Tabs for Task Management
Once ACTIONBRIDGE is installed as a tab in your Microsoft Teams channel, your team can manage tasks directly from within the channel — without switching apps. This enables contextual, collaborative task tracking aligned with your team's workflow.
What You Can Do Inside the Tab
- View Tasks: Access all tasks within the linked project, filtered by status, priority, assignee, or due date.
- Create New Tasks: Use the “Create Task” button to add new items with due dates, descriptions, and assignments.
- Comment and Mention: Discuss tasks inline with support for rich text and
@mention
. - Switch Views: Toggle between list view, board view (Kanban), and Gantt chart timeline.
- Open Task Details: Click a task to open a slide-in detail panel with full task info, history, and comments.
Tab Behavior and Experience
- The tab reflects the real-time state of your project — any updates are instantly visible to all users.
- You can use filters to focus on your tasks, overdue items, or specific categories.
- All actions taken in the tab are logged and synced with the web version of ACTIONBRIDGE.
Tips for Effective Use
- Rename the tab (e.g. “Design Tasks”) to clarify its purpose.
- Pin the most important views (e.g. board or list) for quick access on team stand-ups.
- Encourage teammates to use comments rather than chat threads to keep updates contextual.
With ACTIONBRIDGE tabs inside Microsoft Teams, you bring your project workflow into the heart of daily collaboration — simple, visible, and actionable.
